Do I need to bring anything to a Sound Bath or 1:1 Treatment?

At the Sound Bath yoga mats and Lavender Eye pillows are provided for you yo use.

However I suggest that you bring anything else you need to make your self as warm and comfortable as possible. Perhaps something cosy to lay on or cover yourself with and you may like a pillow for your head or bolster for under your knees.

If laying down is not available to you,  there is space to sit on the floor supported by the wall, or the venue does have chairs but these are hard plastic without arm rests.

You are more than welcome to  bring your own chair or sun lounger if you prefer.

It is a good idea to bring some water with you - hydration is always important but even more so before and after a Sound Healing session.

There is nothing you need to bring to a 1:1 Treatment except a list of any medication you may be taking. I will provided everything and have plenty of fresh water for you too.

Who is a Sound Bath or 1:1 treatment open to?

A Sound Bath or 1:1 Treatment is open to anyone over the age of 18 or someone 12+ with an adult.

There are however some medical conditions that are contraindicated for Sound Healing and these include:

Severe mental health issues.

Epilepsy.

Pregnancy.

Recent surgeries or physical injuries.

Heart conditions.

If you suffer with any of the above, or have any reason to feel that a Sound Bath or a Sound Healing Treatment may be anything other than beneficial for you, please speak to your healthcare provider before attending, and advise me before attending.

(We go through an in depth medical Questionnaire as part of the client intake form for a 1:1 treatment.)

Is there anything I should do directly after a Sound Bath or 1:1 Treatment?

Sometime people can feel ungrounded at the end of a sound healing session, taking time to allow yourself to 'come back', eating and drinking can ground your energy.

If the weather is fine  and the venue allows you can always spend time standing barefoot on grass which is hugely beneficial anytime.

Please do not drive or operate heavy machinery after a sound healing session if you are feeling ungrounded.

Following the bath or treatment it’s best to take it easy, rest, relax, go for a walk and avoid stressful situations if at all possible. give yourself the treat of self care as a priority.

When you get home, if possible have a bath or a shower as the water will allow the healing to sink in deeper and last for longer.

It is advisable to avoid alcohol or any chemical toxins for the next 24 hours.

Please drink plenty of water to not only keep you hydrated but also to allow any toxins released by the sound healing to be flushed from the body.

There are no officially recognised side effects of sound healing.

Sometimes complementary therapy can cause a healing reaction. During or after the sound healing session, you may experience a worsening of symptoms before they get better.

In the unlikely event that a healing reaction does happen, you can contact me to discuss this matter.

If you feel the situation needs closer attention you should contact your doctor / physician.

If you feel you need immediate medical care, you should not hesitate to contact a medical professional.
